Jamie Terracciano, LCAT, ATR-BC
Hi! My name is Jaime. I love Halloween and watching scary movies in my spare time. When I am not working or enjoying my love for all things spooky, I am spending time with my daughter and husband. I enjoy cooking and learning new recipes to share with friends and family. I love being creative and expressing myself through painting, drawing, or photography. I love the summer months at the beach soaking up the sun!
What I enjoy so much about being an art therapist is that when you can’t find the words to express how you feel the art will do it for you. You do not have to be a good artist to do art therapy, stick figures are welcomed! Art for me has always been a safe way to cope and express my feelings. I enjoy working with many different age groups and populations. I am passionate about creating a non-judgmental environment to facilitate personal growth and healing.
I attended LIU Post for my Masters Degree in Clinical Art Therapy and Counseling for my LCAT and ATR-BC. I have also received my bachelors from LIU Post in Art Therapy. My internships have been at Pederson-Krag PROS East Day Treatment, Kid Esteem Montessori School, Sunshine Alternative and Prevention Program, and Stony Brook Hospital (inpatient psych, child psych, and palliative care).
